Pemerolehan Bahasa Indonesia Pada Anak Tunarungu Usia 7-10 Tahun: Suatu Kajian Psikolinguistik di SDLB Kota Sorong
Abstract
Pemerolehan bahasa pada anak tunarungu menghadapi hambatan signifikan akibat terbatasnya input fonologis yang berdampak pada penguasaan kosakata dan sintaksis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis proses pemerolehan bahasa Indonesia pada anak tunarungu usia 7-10 tahun di SDLB Kota Sorong, dengan fokus pada penguasaan kosakata dan komunikasi fungsional. Pendekatan studi kasus deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dengan melibatkan dua siswa tunarungu sebagai subjek utama. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengujian kosakata langsung, observasi partisipatif terhadap interaksi spontan, serta wawancara dengan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemerolehan bahasa pada subjek sangat didominasi oleh modalitas visual, khususnya teknik membaca gerak bibir (lip reading) dan bahasa isyarat. Subjek 1 (S1) menunjukkan kombinasi komunikasi lisan dan isyarat dengan adanya pelesapan fonem, sementara Subjek 2 (S2) sepenuhnya mengandalkan isyarat ikonik. Kedua subjek menunjukkan akurasi tinggi dalam memahami kata benda konkret dan kata kerja dasar ketika didukung oleh media visual dan gerak bibir yang jelas. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa metode Komunikasi Total yang mengintegrasikan input lisan, visual, dan isyarat sangat efektif bagi siswa tunarungu di wilayah Sorong. Namun, faktor sosiokultural dan dialek lokal masih menjadi ruang untuk eksplorasi lebih lanjut guna meningkatkan strategi pembelajaran inklusif.
