Representasi Nilai Pendidikan Karakter melalui Pendekatan Semiotika Roland Barthes dalam Film Pendek Bajra
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi nilai pendidikan karakter dalam film pendek Bajra karya Gontor TV menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik analisis semiotika yang mencakup tiga tingkat pemaknaan, yaitu denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos. Data penelitian berupa tanda-tanda visual dan verbal yang terdapat dalam dialog, adegan, ekspresi tokoh, latar, serta alur cerita film. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik dokumentasi dan observasi dengan menonton film secara berulang, kemudian dianalisis secara interpretatif berdasarkan kerangka semiotika Barthes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa film Bajra merepresentasikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pesantren seperti disiplin, tanggung jawab, kerja keras, kejujuran, kerendahan hati, keikhlasan, sportivitas, dan penghargaan terhadap proses. Pada tataran denotatif, film menampilkan realitas kehidupan santri dalam menjalani kewajiban akademik dan aktivitas pesantren. Pada tataran konotatif, narasi film menyampaikan pesan moral tentang pembentukan karakter melalui pengendalian diri, etika pergaulan, dan kesadaran akan tanggung jawab. Sementara itu, pada tataran mitos, film menaturalisasi ideologi pendidikan pesantren sebagai sistem pendidikan ideal dalam membentuk karakter dan moral santri. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa film Bajra tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai media hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai teks pedagogis yang efektif dalam merepresentasikan dan menanamkan nilai pendidikan karakter berbasis budaya pesantren.
