Representasi Pesan Moral Dalam Film “Racun Sangga” Karya Rizal Mantovani (Analisis Semiotika Roland Barthes)
Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas representasi pengkhianatan dan pesan moral dalam film Racun Sangga karya Rizal Mantovani sebagai teks budaya yang sarat akan tanda dan simbol. Objek penelitian berupa adegan, dialog, gestur tokoh, serta simbol visual yang terdapat dalam film Racun Sangga (2024). Penelitian ini menggunakan teori semiotika Roland Barthes dengan kerangka analisis makna denotatif, makna konotatif, dan mitos. Teori ini dipilih karena mampu mengungkap makna berlapis serta ideologi budaya yang tersembunyi di balik representasi visual dan naratif film. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahap identifikasi tanda, pengelompokan data, analisis semiotik, dan interpretasi makna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa film Racun Sangga merepresentasikan pengkhianatan sebagai konflik laten yang bekerja secara tersembunyi melalui simbol racun dan praktik mistis, yang berakar pada mitos dan kepercayaan budaya lokal. Selain itu, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa film tersebut menyampaikan pesan moral berupa pentingnya keimanan, kesetiaan, tanggung jawab moral, serta bahaya dendam dan pengkhianatan dalam kehidupan rumah tangga. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa Racun Sangga tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai media hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai medium reflektif yang mereproduksi mitos sosial dan nilai moral dalam masyarakat. Kontribusi penelitian ini terletak pada pengayaan kajian sastra dan film Indonesia, khususnya dalam penerapan semiotika Roland Barthes untuk mengungkap hubungan antara mitos budaya, konflik sosial, dan pesan moral dalam karya sinematik lokal.
