Analisis Alih Kode dan Campur Kode dalam Komunikasi Mahasiswa di Media Sosial serta Perannya terhadap Pembentukan Identitas Bahasa Generasi Muda
Abstract
Fenomena alih kode dan campur kode menjadi bagian tidak terpisahkan dari praktik komunikasi masyarakat multilingual, khususnya pada kalangan mahasiswa. Media sosial sebagai ruang komunikasi digital turut memfasilitasi munculnya variasi bahasa yang lebih fleksibel dan dinamis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk, fungsi, serta faktor penyebab terjadinya alih kode dan campur kode dalam komunikasi mahasiswa di media sosial, serta mengkaji perannya terhadap proses pembentukan identitas bahasa generasi muda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa dokumentasi percakapan pada platform media sosial seperti Instagram, WhatsApp, dan TikTok. Data dianalisis menggunakan teori sosiolinguistik terkait kategori alih kode dan campur kode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan alih kode dan campur kode tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai strategi komunikasi untuk memperjelas pesan dan membangun keakraban, tetapi juga menjadi sarana ekspresi diri dan identitas sosial mahasiswa dalam lingkungan digital. Simpulan penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa praktik alih kode dan campur kode pada media sosial berperan signifikan dalam membentuk identitas bahasa generasi muda yang modern, kreatif, dan adaptif terhadap perkembangan sosial budaya.
