Alih Kode Bahasa Indonesia–Inggris: Analisis Struktur dan Fungsi dalam Program Clash of Champions

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk dan fungsi alih kode Indonesia–Inggris dalam program Clash of Champions (COC) Season 2 Episode 7 dengan menggunakan klasifikasi Poplack (1980) dan Markedness Model dari Myers-Scotton (1993). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik simak-katat terhadap tuturan peserta pada dua konteks komunikasi, yaitu In-Game (IG) dan Talking Head (TH). Kesimpulannya, dari 177 data yang dikumpulkan, bentuk alih kode yang paling sering muncul yaitu Intra-Sentential Code-Switching . Ditemukan bahwa dalam konteks In-Game , alih kode umumnya berfungsi sebagai Unmarked Code Choice (UCC) karena dalam situasi penuh tekanan, pilihan ini digunakan agar komunikasi antar-peserta berjalan efisien. Sebaliknya, dalam konteks Talking Head , alih kode umumnya berfungsi sebagai Marked Code Choice (MCC) karena bertujuan untuk membangun identitas diri, menyalurkan emosi, dan meningkatkan efek dramatis pada narasi peserta. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa alih kode tidak hanya menunjukkan kemampuan linguistik tetapi juga merupakan strategi sosial yang fleksibel dalam berbagai situasi komunikasi.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk struktural dan fungsi sosial peralihan kode bahasa Indonesia–Inggris dalam Clash of Champions (COC) Musim 2 Episode 7, dengan menerapkan klasifikasi Poplack (1980) dan Model Markedness Myers-Scotton (1993). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik observasi dan pencatatan pada ucapan peserta dalam dua konteks komunikasi: Dalam Game (IG) dan Talking Head (TH). Kesimpulannya, dari 177 data yang dikumpulkan, Peralihan Kode Intra-Kalimat merupakan bentuk struktural yang dominan. Ditemukan bahwa dalam konteks Dalam Game, peralihan kode umumnya berfungsi sebagai Pilihan Kode Tidak Bertanda (Unmarked Code Choice/UCC) karena dalam situasi tekanan tinggi, pilihan ini digunakan untuk menjaga komunikasi yang efisien antar peserta. Sebaliknya, dalam konteks Talking Head, peralihan kode umumnya berfungsi sebagai Pilihan Kode Bertanda (Marked Code Choice/MCC), karena bertujuan untuk membangun identitas diri, mengekspresikan emosi, dan menambah efek dramatis pada narasi peserta. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peralihan kode (code-switching) tidak hanya menunjukkan kemampuan linguistik tetapi juga merupakan strategi sosial yang fleksibel dalam berbagai situasi komunikasi.
