Transformasi Bahasa dan Konteks Sosial dalam Praktik Komunikasi Digital Gen-Z di TikTok: Suatu Kajian Pragmatik
Abstract
Penelitian ini berfokus pada transformasi bahasa dan konteks sosial yang terjadi di kalangan Generasi Z dalam praktik komunikasi digital di media sosial TikTok. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk perubahan bahasa yang digunakan Gen-Z serta memahami bagaimana konteks sosial memengaruhi cara mereka berkomunikasi di ruang digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi terhadap konten TikTok yang mencerminkan gaya bahasa khas Gen-Z, seperti penggunaan slang, campur kode, singkatan, serta ekspresi khas media sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahasa yang digunakan Gen-Z di TikTok mengalami transformasi dari bentuk formal ke bentuk yang lebih kreatif, ekspresif, dan kontekstual. Ungkapan seperti “menyala abangku,” “gaskeun,” “slay,” “bestie,” dan “it’s giving” menjadi bagian dari identitas sosial Gen-Z yang menunjukkan keakraban, solidaritas, serta pengaruh budaya global. Selain sebagai alat komunikasi, bahasa di TikTok juga berfungsi sebagai sarana pembentukan identitas, ekspresi diri, dan refleksi terhadap dinamika sosial di era digital. Dengan demikian, TikTok menjadi ruang baru bagi Gen-Z dalam membangun makna sosial melalui bahasa yang terus berkembang sesuai perubahan zaman.
