Representasi Ketidakadilan Hukum dalam Film Miracle in Cell No. 7 Versi Indonesia dan Relevansinya di Kehidupan Nyata
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap persamaan isu-isu sosial yang direpresentasikan dalam film Miracle in Cell No. 7 versi Indonesia dengan kondisi ketidakadilan hukum di masyarakat Indonesia saat ini. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada dua isu utama, yaitu diskriminasi dan ketidakadilan dalam sistem peradilan terhadap penyandang disabilitas. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi. Data utama berupa adegan, dialog, dan narasi dalam film yang menunjukkan ketimpangan hukum, serta data sekunder berupa berita aktual, jurnal ilmiah, dan dokumentasi kasus hukum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa film merefleksikan realitas sosial yang masih berlangsung di Indonesia, seperti penyiksaan dalam proses hukum, pengakuan paksa, kurangnya pendampingan hukum, hingga stigma terhadap penyandang disabilitas. Representasi dalam film ini menegaskan bahwa sistem hukum di Indonesia masih belum sepenuhnya berpihak pada kelompok rentan, dan bahwa media film dapat menjadi sarana kritik sosial yang kuat. Penelitian ini menghadirkan pendekatan interdisipliner melalui sintesis antara sosiologi hukum dan sastra bandingan, yang menunjukkan bahwa film dapat menjadi cermin kondisi sosial sekaligus wadah untuk memperjuangkan keadilan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya wacana akademik di bidang kajian hukum, sosiologi, dan kajian media.
