Dampak Pengembangan Paragraf pada Tulisan Argumentatif Mahasiswa
Abstract
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif untuk menganalisis dampak pengembangan paragraf terhadap kualitas tulisan argumentatif mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Makassar. Data penelitian berupa makalah mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Bahasa Indonesia yang dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pengembangan paragraf berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas tulisan argumentatif mahasiswa, terutama dalam aspek kejelasan gagasan, koherensi, kohesi, dan kekuatan argumen. Mahasiswa yang mampu mengembangkan paragraf secara sistematis cenderung menghasilkan tulisan yang lebih logis, runtut, dan persuasif. Namun, penelitian ini juga menemukan beberapa kendala, seperti keterbatasan dalam menyusun kalimat penjelas, kurangnya penggunaan contoh dan data pendukung, serta lemahnya keterpaduan antarkalimat. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan teknik pengembangan paragraf tidak hanya berperan dalam meningkatkan kualitas tulisan akademik, tetapi juga mendukung kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dalam menyusun dan mempertahankan argumen secara ilmiah.
