Frasa Penolakan dalam Bahasa Suku Walak: Kajian Sintaksis
Abstract
Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan bentuk dan struktur frasa negasi dalam bahasa Walak yang digunakan oleh masyarakat di Kabupaten Jayawijaya, Papua. Bahasa Walak sebagai salah satu khazanah bahasa daerah memiliki ciri sintaksis yang unik dan belum banyak dikaji secara ilmiah. Penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya lebih banyak berfokus pada leksikon dasar atau sistem fonologi bahasa Walak, tetapi belum menyentuh aspek sintaksisnya, khususnya pada frasa negasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan etnolinguistik. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam dengan penutur asli, dan pencatatan kosakata yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa frasa tolakan dalam bahasa Walak terbentuk dengan menggabungkan kata-kata negasi seperti inggudlek, dlek, negen, atau madluk dengan kata sifat atau kata kerja. Terdapat struktur tetap dan struktur fleksibel dalam pembentukan frasa negasi yang mencerminkan logika tutur masyarakat Walak yang unik. Pembahasan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa frasa penolakan dalam bahasa Walak tidak hanya memiliki fungsi linguistik, tetapi juga mengandung nilai-nilai budaya dan hubungan sosial yang kuat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya dokumentasi bahasa daerah dan menjadi rujukan sintaksis dalam kajian linguistik lokal.
