Kekerasan di Bawah Rezim Taliban dalam Novel The Breadwinner Karya Deborah Ellis
Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas bentuk-bentuk kekerasan yang digambarkan dalam novel The Breadwinner karya Deborah Ellis dengan menggunakan teori kekerasan Johan Galtung, yang meliputi kekerasan langsung, struktural, dan kultural. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana ketiga bentuk kekerasan tersebut muncul dalam konteks kekerasan yang terjadi di bawah kekuasaan Taliban. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan objektif, dimana data dikumpulkan melalui teknik baca catat dan dianalisis menggunakan model analisis data Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam novel The Breadwinner terdapat 12 data yang menunjukan kekerasan langsung yang digambarkan melalui tindakan secara langsung yang dilakukan oleh Taliban seperti pemukulan, penyiksaan, dan pembunuhan; 21 data yang menunjukan kekerasan struktural yang terlihat melalui sistem yang menindas yang dibuat oleh Taliban; dan 4 data yang menunjukan kekerasan kultural yang berupa patriarki dan agama yang disalahpahami yang mendukung terjadinya kekerasan langsung dan kekerasan struktural.
