Analisis Kesalahan Tanda Baca Pada Teks Buku Cerita Siswa Kelas II Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap serta menganalisis berbagai bentuk kesalahan
dalam penggunaan tanda baca pada buku cerita berbahasa Indonesia yang digunakan oleh
siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar. Buku cerita memiliki peran krusial dalam menunjang proses
pembelajaran literasi dasar, terutama dalam membentuk keterampilan siswa dalam
memahami struktur kalimat dan menerapkan kaidah penulisan yang tepat, termasuk
penggunaan tanda baca. Sayangnya, masih banyak ditemukan buku cerita anak yang
beredar di lingkungan pendidikan dasar mengandung ketidaksesuaian terhadap Pedoman
Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia (PUEBI). Ketidaktepatan ini tidak hanya berdampak pada
kualitas teks, tetapi juga berpotensi menimbulkan kesalahan pemahaman serta
mempengaruhi kebiasaan menulis siswa secara jangka panjang. Penelitian ini
menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui
dokumentasi dan analisis isi terhadap buku-buku cerita yang digunakan secara resmi dalam
pembelajaran di kelas II SD. Tiga buku dipilih sebagai objek kajian, yakni Dongeng untuk
Santi, Cerpen Bergambar: Liburan Ara di Desa, dan Buku Cerita Bergambar: Karakter
Mandiri dan Tanggung Jawab. Proses analisis dilakukan dengan menelaah kesalahan pada
penggunaan tanda titik, koma, tanda kutip, tanda seru, dan tanda tanya yang terdapat dalam
teks cerita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan penggunaan tanda baca tersebut
masih cukup dominan dan berulang di dalam ketiga buku yang diteliti. Temuan ini menjadi
indikator bahwa perhatian terhadap aspek kebahasaan, khususnya penggunaan tanda baca,
masih perlu ditingkatkan oleh para penulis, editor, dan penerbit buku anak. Penelitian ini
diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam upaya perbaikan mutu bahan ajar anak usia
dini, serta menjadi bahan refleksi bagi guru dalam memilih dan menggunakan sumber
bacaan yang tepat dalam kegiatan pembelajaran bahasa.
