Karakteristik Budaya Etnik Kulawi Dalam Puisi Rakyat Rego
Abstract
Rego merupakan tradisi kesenian etnik Kulawi di Kabupaten Parigi Moutong, Sulawesi Tengah. Tardisi lisan ini mengombinasikan antara syair, lagu, gerak, dan alat musik yang dibawakan saat melakukan aktivitas seperti bergotong royong, menanam padi, memanen padi, dan pada aktivitas pernikahan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui karakteristik budaya etnik Kulawi dalam tradisi kesenian Rego. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik melihat catatan, kepustakaan. Data dalam penelitian’ ini secara kualitatif’ mendeskripsikan’ karakteristik’ budaya Etnik Kulawi yang dituangkan dalam tradisi lisan Rego. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa puisi rakyat yang berbentuk Rego terdiri atas beberapa macam bentuk Rego dan mempunyai karakteristik nilai budaya dan makna yang terkandung dalam tradisi lisan Rego yaitu (1) nilai ketuhanan sebagi penguasa alam semesta, (2) nilai musyawarah dan gotong royong, yang meliputi kebanggan bagi etnik Kulawi atas eksistensinya sebagi masyarakat yang beradat dan menggambarkan bahwa masyarakat Kulawi mengutamakan musyawarah untuk mencapai mufakat, (3) niali kepribadian yang menggambarkan bahwa etnik Kulawi merupakan etnik yang bermartabat dan menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai ketuhanan dan kemanusiaan, (4) nilai budaya alam yang bermakna bahwa alam adalah sumber nafkah dan alam juga berperilaku sebagai manusia.
