Analisis Fungsi Naratif Vladimir Yakovlevich Propp dalam Seri Bacaan Sastra Cerita Rakyat Manarmakeri
Abstract
Tulisan ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan fungsi naratif dalam seri bacaan sastra Cerita Rakyat Manarmakeri dan lingkungan tindakan dalam Seri Bacaan tersebut dengan menggunakan analisis fungsi Vladimir Yakovlevich Propp. Cerita Rakyat Papua, Manarmakeri yang merupakan sebuah yang bersumber dari sebuah tradisi lisan Masyarakat Biak ini berusaha mengungkap keunikan pola cerita yang mencerminkan kekhasan di sana. Naratologi atau fungsi naratif merupakan ilmu sastra yang khusus memfokuskan pada analisis narasi dan struktur cerita. Vladimir Propp dalam teorinya menciptakan suatu sistem analisis yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi fungsi-fungsi naratif dalam cerita rakyat, sehingga dapat mengenali unsur-unsur dasar yang membentuk sebuah cerita. Kajian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang berusaha mendeskripsikan, menguraikan bahkan menggambarkan pola fungsi naratif pembentuk cerita. Cerita Rakyat Manarmakeri yang dianalisis menggunakan teori Vladimir Propp memiliki dua puluh dua fungsi naratif penyusun cerita tersebut dan lima lingkungan tindakan.
